Grades 5-Up. The story follows Chase Ambrose, an eighth-grade student who falls off his roof and loses all his memories due to amnesia. When he wakes up in the hospital, he cannot remember his family, friends, or even his own personality. As Chase returns to school, he discovers that before the accident he was feared and disliked by many people because he had been a bully. While everyone around him remembers the "old Chase," he no longer feels like that person and struggles to understand who he truly is. Through new friendships, involvement in the school video club, and learning about the consequences of his past behavior, Chase begins rebuilding his identity. He must decide whether to return to his former cruel ways or become a better person.
