BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug strives towards developing internationally minded students. We have been authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), a transdisciplinary curriculum that is engaging, relevant, challenging and significant for learners in the 3-12 age range. The Indonesian Department of Education also recognizes our international programmes.
Our curriculum is broad and inclusive and we place great emphasis o¬n the acquisition of essential knowledge and skills, development of conceptual understanding, demonstration of positive attitudes, and taking of responsible action.
Our students explore themes of global significance that transcend the boundaries of traditional subject areas. These themes unify the curriculum in PYP schools all over the world. Within each of the six themes, units of inquiry are identified at each grade level and form the basis of the classroom instructional programme. Each unit embodies a concept-driven curriculum, with the students learning through structured inquiry.
Throughout the curriculum, Information Technology is used as a tool that facilitates learning. Our students are exposed to languages other than their mother tongue. Our language of instruction is English and starting from EY 1, Indonesian Language and Chinese Language are taught to BINUS students.
